Update Diary: Hell/Dolls (July 15, 2026)

Heeey, everyone… I bet you were expecting another late post, huh?

WELL JOKE’S ON YOU It still may be late. I’m writing as much as I can before I go to bed so I don’t forget to do this post AGAIN. Y’all tell me if this post comes out a day or two late!

But that’s not why we’re here today, is it? We’re here to talk about Hell/Dolls chapters and story (maybe), so let’s start as always with the stats!

As of today(night), here are the two stories’ scores:

Current Chapter (Unity’s Edge): 21 (The Deal)

Pages: 397

Total Word Count: 138,323

Current Chapter (New World): 4

Pages: 49

Total Word Count: 19,406

Well… not ideal, but it’s still moving. As you can probably tell from the difference in word counts and pages between the two stories, I have been working about normal on Unity’s Edge, and not so much on New World. But that’s to be expected, right? I’ve had more of an idea for Unity’s Edge when I first started than I have of New World right now, and I’ve been meticulously tweaking parts of the main story to fit the path I want it to take in the final stretch.

New World, by default, has kinda fallen to the side while I work on the primary – I haven’t given up on it, and I still do add to it when I can, but with all of the other writing projects I’ve drilled myself into, I think that New World is going to be on the backburner for a little while.

Looking back on my posts over the past few months, I realize that I’ve been trying to find ways to posts on broken sites (specifically the FictionPress family of sites), but as I study more options and get increasingly frustrated with WattPad…

I think starting next chapter, this blog and Archive Of Our Own (AO3) will be the only sites I post my stories to for the foreseeable future.

Obviously, what I choose to post on today doesn’t mean that it will be forever and always. Websites change their terms of service all the time, and if I ever decide to create a project for a job and job money, I probably won’t be keeping everything on these sites.

Now, regarding the next few chapters, they’ll probably be released in a few days, whenever I get the free time to convert them on both platforms. For a heads up, the next two chapters are labeled Trust and Lies and Status and Poison. At first, the duality-style naming seemed a little over the top, but I really like it. Plus the cryptic message at the beginning of each chapter makes it feel more sinister than it really is… at least in my head.

I’ll talk more about the next two chapters in the update diaries after they release. In all honesty, the next six to eight chapters could probably be released at this point, with as little as I’ve had to edit them in the past few months. I’ll set myself some timed dates, so please continue enjoying my stories. I really do get a jolt of endorphins whenever I see more than one or two people have viewed one of my posts (to my surprise, it’s regularly like ten of you), so thank you everyone, from the bottom of my heart, for joining me in this journey.

I hope to have the last chapter of Unity’s Edge (Book 1) released before April of next year, but with how slowly I’ve started to write, I won’t make it a solid promise.

Just a goal.

GO FORTH AND WET THE DRYS!
