Another month, another update. I thought I might fall behind due to certain things happening, but it looks like I kept up with the writing this month.
Stats for the story so far are as follows:
Current Chapter: 12 (Calm and Storm)
Pages: 218
Word Count: 80,905
Well, looking at the data now, I guess I did drop off a bit compared to last month. Last week I felt a little off, and wasn’t able to write as much as I would’ve liked, but I did manage to write a bit on my day trip to Anchorage. Long story short, I don’t need surgery *this* year. So, yay me.
In other news, I’ll be reviewing the next few chapters for release and, if everything goes well, you should see them posted on here and Wattpad by the end of October. I will also be updating the released chapters sometime soon, since I did some revisions and rewording on the Prelude and Chapter 1, but I’ll try not to do this too often since it’s more work for me.
In other news, I did start using a new focus tool. Quite literally to help me focus.
Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is a wonderfully fun focus tool / game where you make a character, set up a room, and just chill while you work or relax. Every now and then, using the correct sounds and settings, you unlock a new spirit to chill with, adorable creatures that just… hang out. It plays through Lofi Girl playlists, but you can play basically whatever you want through a YouTube External plugin included with the game.
It’s fun to have in the background, and I actually started writing a story based around the avatar I made for it; I may never finish it, and it likely will never be posted, but I’m not sure right now.
Speaking of other writings, I started a separate project a couple of months ago that has kinda fallen onto the back burner, but I’m still working on it occasionally. It’s an adventure / sci-fi visual novel with point-and-click elements, following some of my dearest characters, tentatively called “Bridge: A Path Between Worlds”, and while I have a general idea of the plot and ending, it is a struggle writing so many branching paths, learning Ren’py and RPG Maker to decide which I want to use, and working on Hell/Dolls all at once. I will try to work on it a little more diligently once Unity’s Edge is finished, but that won’t likely be for a few more months, at least.
That’s all I’ve really got for now. I realize this was more of a general update than strictly Hell/Dolls, but there wasn’t much I wanted to talk about story-wise without spoiling something in the later parts. I will attempt to be more focused on H/D in the next update, so stay tuned!
Thanks y’all!
